Simcoe Muskoka Health Unit getting ready for flu shot season.
![]() (Simcoe County) - It's almost time to get your flu shot. The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit will be holding influenza immunization clinics starting in November. But rather than join the lineups, the public can book their flu shots now, using the health unit’s online appointment booking system. The health unit’s website, www.simcoemuskokahealth.org, has a hot button on the home page that will take you to the online appointment booking system. You’ll be able to choose the clinic you would like to attend and then select a time for your flu shot appointment. As in recent years, the clinics will be held Wednesdays and Saturdays from Saturday, November 3rd to Wednesday, November 28th throughout Simcoe and Muskoka. Vaccine Program Manager Laurie Stanford says they had a 96 per cent of their clinic spots booked online last year. During the month of October, individuals with a high risk of complications from influenza may receive their vaccine from health care professionals.
