(Grey County) -

A young man has now died after a weekend crash involving a horse and buggy in Georgian Bluffs.

17 year old Emery Shetler of Chatsworth Township died Sunday at Sunnybrook hospital in Toronto.

He was a passenger in a buggy that was hit by a pickup truck around 7:30 AM on Saturday on the Grey Bruce Line.

There were five people in total on the buggy -- and another teen remains in hospital with serious injuries even though they were initially described as minor by the OPP.

17 year old Sam Zook is listed in critical condition in a London hospital.

57 year old Dan Shetler, the father of Emery Shetler, returned home on Tuesday from a Hamilton hospital to attend his son's funeral.

Grey County OPP say the truck driver was trying to pass the northbound horse and buggy when it clipped the buggy.

According to Police, the two horses pulling the buggy involved were humanely put down by a veterinary.

The investigation continues.
