Carrie Davenport received multiple awards for overall points at the IPM.
(Owen Sound) - The Ontario Junior Plowing champion hails from Owen Sound for the second straight year. Carrie Davenport won the title after the International Plowing Match was cut short due to rain. Over the three days, Davenport had one first place and two second place finishes. Davenport received multiple awards for overall points including; the Elliott Moses Memorial Special, Gordon Bradfield Memorial Special, Sydney Sisler Memorial Trophy, the Orville and Ruth Fried Award, and the Norwell Dairy Systems Award. She will now go on to represent Ontario at the 2013 Canadian Plowing Championship for a third time. This is the second win in a row for Davenport, who is also going to the 2012 Canadian Plowing Championship. There were many other competitors from the region, Megan Cameron of Owen Sound, was the overall runner up on Saturday for the Junior one day competition.
