Gas Prices Skyrocket

Wednesday, October 3, 2012 9:07 AMby Manny Paiva
The price for a litre of regular unleaded has jumped 13 cents at some stations.

(Regional) -

The price at the pumps has skyrocketed.

A litre of regular unleaded gas was selling for as low as a dollar 24 in our region on Tuesday.

Some stations have already changed their price to a dollar 37 a litre.

You might be able to find a few stations who have not increased their prices yet.

To give you an example of the difference on Wednesday morning -- the price for regular unleaded was a dollar 26 a litre in Wiarton, but it was a dollar 38 a litre in nearby Hepworth.

There's no word on what caused the price hike.
