(Owen Sound) -

The 5th annual " Friday Night Lights " Football game will be hosted by West Hill Secondary School in Owen Sound.

The Raiders will meet the OSCVI Falcons in the annual Bluewater Football game between the two city rivals.

Play starts at 6:30 PM on Friday with the Junior match between the Falcons and Raiders.

The Junior game is a scrimmage contest as part of the Bluewater Football initiation program.

The Senior game between the Falcons and Raiders follows at 7:15 PM.

West Hill's Ian Hyland relates the organizing committee has worked hard promoting the game.

Hyland says, along with the Crone Cup, the Friday Night Lights game is a highlight of the school sports calendar

He says playing at night allows parents to watch their kids play on the school team plus it creates a very social atmosphere for the students of both schools.

Hyland expects close to one thousand people will be on hand which gives the game a very professional feel to it when the lights are switched on.
