ATV enthusiasts will meet in Markdale today to ride for a good cause.

The Dufferin-Grey ATV club is holding its second ride to end childhood cancers.

Co-organizers Paul Smith and Vera Lloyd say it's an idea the club came up with last year, and they hope to change the charity that benefits every second year.

Smith says last year raised about three thousand dollars for Childhood Cancer Canada, and this year they hope to bring in four to five thousand dollars.

Smith is hoping for about 100 to 150 riders to join them --- and they welcome everyone from beginners to everyday ATVers.

Lloyd says it's a full day ride, beginning with registration between 8-10 AM at the parking lot across from Chapman's Ice Cream in Markdale on Grey County Road 12.

She says they will set out at 10 AM for a ride to see the fall colours, and then come back to Markdale for lunch.

After that, they will hold an afternoon poker run ride.

Donations will be accepted up until 4 PM, and prizes will be given out after that.

Non-members will require a $20 day trail pass, and everybody is required to donate $30 for the poker hand.
