Owen Sound beat Storm 3-2 and get ready for the Sarnia Sting for OHL action tonight
(Guelph) - A hard fought 3-2 win for Owen Sound over Guelph in OHL action from the night. The Storm lead until the final period when Cameron Brace secured the game winning goal. Zach Nastasiuk and Keevin Cutting also scored for Owen Sound while Jordan Binnington secured the win in net for the Attack. It was his 57th career victory, which ties him for second place all time in goaltending history for Owen Sound. The Attack now have seven points early in the season, good enough for first in the Western Conference. Owen Sound plays Sarnia at home on Saturday night in their third game in three nights. The Sting lost to Sault Ste Marie 4-3 on Friday. Sarnia meanwhile, will not have Nail Yakupov in the line up for sure, as he can now play in the K-H-L after all.This after Hockey Canada agreed to release him from his obligations to play for Sarnia. Anaheim Ducks star and former Attack Captain Bobby Ryan will be conducting the ceremonial faceoff tonight. Ryan is the all time franchise leading scorer having amassed 133 goals and 325 points over his four years in Owen Sound. The New Jersey native played 249 regular season games for the Attack and served as team captain from 2005-2007. Since his graduating to the NHL, Ryan has spent four full seasons in the National Hockey League with the Ducks where he has amassed 136 goals and 123 assists for 259 points. Game time tonight is 7:30 PM.
