(Lucknow) -

There has been another dog biting incident in Bruce County.

The incident dates back two weeks to Saturday, September 8th.

A woman was walking her dog on Campbell Street in Lucknow when another couple approached walking what is described as a large brown dog.

The two dogs began to fight and the woman was bitten as she tried to separate the animals.

The couple assured the woman their dog was vaccinated -- but resulting complications warrant further investigation.

Staff of the Grey Bruce Health Unit need to confirm that the dog is not infectious with rabies so the woman can avoid post exposure treatment.

If you have any information about the dog or the owner -- call the Health Unit (at 519-376-9420).
