An inspection will be done today on the dump truck involved in a crash on Highway 27 south of Elmvale.

The truck was headed north on the highway when it left the road and slammed into a hydro pole on Wednesday afternoon.

The driver was taken to the hospital in Midland with what police say were serious injuries.

Police will inspect the vehicle today looking for a cause of the crash.
