Sports Notes to mark down for Wednesday September 19th, 2012.
The Owen Sound Under 16 Boys Soccer team has earned the right to advance to Level 3 in Provincial soccer for 2013.
The team, which has a regional makeup, is looking to attract more players from Owen Sound and region to compete at this skill level .
Tomorrow, 6pm at Kelso Beach
The Blue Water Curling Club is holding their annual meeting & sign up night tomorrow from 7 to 9 pm at the curling club.
All interested curlers are welcome as they celebrate their 50th year of operation.
Spend an evening with former Toronto Maple Leafs captain Wendel Clark & friends on Friday September 28th at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.
Cocktails, snacks, live sports auction & lots of laughs with Johnny Gardhouse are all part of the evening.
Proceeds from the evening will support the Bruce Grey Child & Family Services Foundation.

The Grand Opening for the Julie McArthur Regional Recreation Centre in Owen Sound is set for Saturday September 29th from 2-5 pm.
There will be the official ribbon cutting & ceremony plus barbeque & cake, tours, plus free skating, free swimming and free gymnastics activities
Owen Sound Minor Hockey Group will be hosting 2 tournaments this Fall.
The first is set for October 12-14.
The second tournament is November 2nd to 4th.
The Owen Sound Quantum Properties NorthStars are holding a fundraising trip to a CFL Game.
On Sunday October 14th, you can see the Montreal Alouettes face the Toronto Argonauts at the Rogers Centre.
Tickets for the trip and game are $ 90.
