Southwest LHIN gathers feedback on it's three year strategic plan.
(Regional) - The South West Local Health Integration Network wants to hear from you. The crown agency that is responsible for almost 200 health service providers from the Bruce Peninsula to Windsor is looking for input for its three year strategic plan. CEO Michael Barrett tells Bayshore Broadcasting News the public input is the next phase in the project. Barrett says they have already identified priorities with their health providers -- including the 19 hospitals in our region. Barrett says their goal is to develop a plan that improves our health care system from 2013 to 2016. The South West LHIN is holding several public meetings this month. One meeting was held Wednesday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Wingham. Another meeting will be held Thursday at 7 PM at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine. A meeting will also be held in Owen Sound on Tuesday September 18th at 7 PM at the Bayshore Community Centre. There will also be a webcast on Thursday September 20th at 7 PM. Barrett says it shows the LHIN is trying to make the process as open as possible. Barrett notes if you can not attend one of the meetings -- you can complete a short survey online at http://www.southwestlhin.on.ca/Page.aspx?id=6696
