A couple from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh is suing the province to stop development of wind turbines.

Shawn and Trisha Drennan are already involved in an action to lift so-called non-disclosure rules that prevent people living near turbines from talking about health issues.

Now they've instructed their lawyer -- Julian Falconer of Toronto -- to call on the government to stop developments until a two-year federal study of health effects is complete.

Falconer has informed the McGuinty government of their intent to sue.

The Drennans have 60 days to proceed.

They're seeking an injunction that would halt wind developments pending completion of the Health Canada study.
