Two Toronto area men had to be rescued after their small boat capsized in Lake Huron north of the Sauble River.

It happened Saturday between 6 PM and 7 PM during high waves and strong winds.

A 45-year-old man from Richmond Hill and a 59-year-old from Toronto were thrown into the water, but were wearing their personal floatation devices .

Bruce Peninsula OPP were called alond with RCC Trenton.

Two people on personal water craft in the area rescued the men prior to the Police arrival.

They were brought to shore unharmed, while their boat was left drifting towards shore.

The incident happened just before two people were rescued near Tobermory after 9 PM on Saturday.

OPP remind everyone that marine safety is paramount at all times.

Ensure all required safety equipment is on board and remember a personal floatation device in storage does not keep your head above water.
