(Owen Sound) -

The Owen Sound Attack meet the Erie Otters on Sunday afternoon in a neutral site Ontario Hockey League exhibition game.

The game is set for 2 PM at the Dan Snyder Memorial Arena in Elmira

Dan Snyder grew up in Elmira, and was a former captain of the Owen Sound Platers, playing for the OHL club from 1995 to 1999.

After four years in Owen Sound, Snyder went on to play professional hockey and was a member of the Atlanta Thrashers of the National Hockey League when he dies from injuries sustained in a car crash in 2003.

Snyder's brother, Jake, is one of the key organizers of this neutral site game and he believes the legacy his brother continues to grow and he says it's fitting that Owen Sound  is participating in this contest

The proceeds from the game will be shared by Woolwich Minor Hockey and by the Elmira Sugar Kings Junior B Hockey Club.

Jake Snyder doesn't have a fundraising target, he simply hopes the game attracts a large crowd and creates a larger profile of hockey in the community and region.

The Attack beat Mississauga 5-3 on Saturday afternoon at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
