The Saugeen Shores Fire department is hosting the Life Fire Training Tour (LiFTT) through Draeger Safety Canada Ltd.

LiFTT is a new initiative intended to deliver live fire training tools and equipment to fire fighters in communities that do not have dedicated fire training facilities.

The objective is to provide some hands-on training of various fire fighter skills using Draeger equipment .

Three fire departments across North America were chosen this year to host the LiFTT event. 

The Saugeen Shores Fire Department is welcoming over 75 firefighters and trainers from 13 Fire Departments in the Grey and Bruce Region.

The local event runs all day Sunday from 8 AM until 6 PM at the Southampton Works Yard located at  429 Peel Street.
