Burgoyne native Josh Cassidy advances to 800 metre wheelchair final.

Burgoyne native Josh Cassidy qualified Wednesday morning for the 800 metre final

Cassidy was fourth in his heat posting a time of 1 minute 38.24 seconds.

The former St Mary's Mustang will race Thursday in the 800 metre final

On Tuesday, Cassidy was 10th in the 1500 metre final.

Cassidy finished in 3 minutes, 14.7 seconds, 2 seconds behind the race winner David Weir of Great Britain

Sunday, Cassidy is scheduled to compete in the marathon.
