This is the final weekend of auto racing at Sauble Speedway for 2012.

The track has two full cards scheduled for Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.

The Can Am Midgets, end of season championships and a fireworks show are among the highlights of the Saturday night card which starts at 7 PM.

The Sunday afternoon show at Sauble is scheduled to commence at 3 PM.

Track Promoter Jason Thom relates the 2012 racing season has been a very successful one.

Thom believes a higher level of local drivers, new admission pricing plus a terrific summer of great weather have led to Sauble Speedway having a banner season.

Also acting as an attraction were several competitive divisions including the 4 Cylinder series which had multiple lead changes through the season.

Thom notes consideration has been given to extending the racing season at Sauble Speedway, but he doubts it will ever happen.

He cites difficulties as a seasonal centre in attracting both drivers and fans as a major roadblock to ever holding races beyond labour Day Weekend.
