Serious Horse and Buggy Crash

One youth airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after van collides with horse and buggy.

 

One young person has been airlifted to a London hospital after an early morning horse and buggy crash on Bruce Road 1 north of Lucknow.

South Bruce OPP were called to the scene in Kinloss Township around 6:30 AM on Friday.

Officers found a Blue Pontiac Montana had collided with a horse and buggy - as both were travelling northbound.

Two youth riding in the rear of the buggy were taken to Wingham hospital - one was later air lifted to London with life threatening injuries.

The driver of the minivan was taken to Kincardine hospital with non life threatening injuries. 

Bruce Road 1 is now closed between Karishea Avenue and Grey Ox Avenue as the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit assess the scene.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
