Lawn Bowling Results from tournament in London.

On Sat. June 2nd, the team of Steve and Jake Schuknecht travelled to London Fairmont greens to lose their first game to Brian Fowler and Chuck Townsend (Fairmont) 12-11 in a Men's Pairs Tournament.  The second game, the Schuknecht team was up 17-3 against Wayne Wright (formerly of Chesley - now Thamesford) and Bob North, when the winds of fortune shifted and they held on to win 19-13. In the third game, they met Kevin Jones and Craig Dorey (Elmwood, London) for a loss of 18-11 having given up a 7-ender when the green took the bowl right around the cat - just as it was coming in nicely.

The next day a Chesley group car-pooled to the Guelph Lawn Bowling Club who were hosting a Men's Pairs Tournament.  Malcolm Whyte (Burlington) Skipped Jake Schuknecht (formerly of Chesley) to win the top prize of the day.  They beat Steve Brancier and Mike Wagner (Guelph) 14-11; going on to smash Rick Burrows and another Rick (Toronto) in a 19-10 game of bowls.  Finishing up the afternoon in a 'certainly was raining' atmosphere for a 24-11 score against Barry Martin and Ken S.. (Guelph).
