A London man is closing in on the finish line of his 500 kilometre walk from Owen Sound to London.
Bob Facca is raising money for Jesse's Journey and research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Facca has called his campaign "Louie's Grandpa Walks to Defeat Duchenne".
The London businessman has already raised well over 100 thousand dollars in his walk -- which started in Owen Sound on May 4th.
Facca decided to raise the money for Muscular Dystrophy research since his four year old grandson Louie is diagnosed with the disease.
He stopped in Port Elgin, Kincardine, Wingham, and Clinton on his way to the London area earlier this month.
Bayshore Broadcasting news caught up with Bob Facca on the road near Tillsonburg.
He says his legs are holding up, and he is on schedule to arrive in his hometown of London, May 30th.
All of the money Bob Facca raises will go to research, as he is covering any expenses not picked up by sponsors.
You may remember John Davidson, a TV weatherman in London, walked across Canada to raise money for research into Muscular Dystrophy -- which ultimately claimed the life of his son Jesse (Jesse's Journey) in 2009.
