Huron County EMS will be meeting with members of the London Central Ambulance Communications Centre.
Director of Emergency Medical Services Dave Lew says Huron's deployment strategy for ambulances and rapid response units wasn't always being properly followed.
Lew says they want the closest vehicle responding to a call regardless of whether it's a transport ambulance or a rapid response unit.
He says some of the dispatchers were requesting only transport ambulances respond to a call, when a rapid response unit could have done the job.
Lew says that was affecting their standby calls and the department wanted to fix the issue as soon as possible.
The London CACC covers the area from Tobermory all the way down to Elgin County.
