The Storm lead the best of 7; 2 games to 1

 

The Owen Sound Attack extended their Western Conference quarterfinal with the Kitchener Rangers to a 5th game.

The Attack shaded the Kitchener Rangers 6-5 in overtime last night at the JD McArthur Arena as Kyle Hope scored the game winner in overtime

Game 5 in the Attack-Rangers series is tomorrow night at the Dom Cardillo Arena in Kitchener.

The Owen Sound Attack Pak is taking a bus to Kitchener tomorrow for Game 5 of the OHL Playoff series between the Attack & Rangers

The cost of the trip which includes roundtrip bus and game ticket is $ 55

Game 6 ?

Should the Attack win tomorrow night at Kitchener and force a game 6, it would be played on Saturday evening at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore in Owen Sound.

Tickets for a potential Game 6 would go sale Saturday morning at 8 am at the Attack Box Office, over the phone by calling (519) 371-7452 or online following Friday eveningís game at www.attackhockey.com.

Season Ticket Holders will have until 1 pm on Saturday to claim their seats before they are released to the general public IF there is a Game 6

The winner of this series will meet the Alliston Hornets in the Ontario semifinals

Alliston eliminated the Walkerton Hawks last night, winning 5-4 at the New Tecumseh Rec Centre to take the series in 5 games

Uniac Moves Up

Coach Mark Uniac has left the Goderich Sailors of the Western Junior C Hockey League to become the assistant-coach with the Midwestern Junior 'B' Listowel Cyclones.

Uniac joins newly-hired head coach Jeff Flanagan in Listowel.

Under Uniac, the Sailors were 2-33-and-1

WOAA Final

The WOAA Senior Championship series will pit the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks against the Tavistock Royals

The Winterhawks won the North Division, sweeping the Elora Rocks in 4 straight games

Tavistock won the South Championship in 5 games over Tillsonburg, finishing with a 4-1 victory last night on home ice

Ontario Junior Mixed & Bantam Mixed

at Smith Falls Curling Club

Sarah Nuhn of the Listowel Curling Club went 1 & 0 on Day One in the Bantam Mixed division

Tyler Sagan of the Curling Club of Collingwood is in the Junior Mixed Division and will play at 1 pm against Ryan McCrady of the Huntley Curling Club.

Sagan was 1 & 1 on the opening day of play

Strikers Tryout

The Owen Sound Strikers of the York Region Soccer League First Division are holding their tryouts beginning tomorrow at the Shallow Lake Church Gymnasium.

The tryout runs from 6:30-8:30 pm

There will be additional dates on April 5th & 12th.

Parade in Kincardine

The Municipality of Kincardine fire department will lead the Kincardine Miller Insurance Kinuck midgets who won the OMHA midget B title in a parade Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.

The parade will begin from the municipal fire hall, with the team travelling to Zehrís.

The OFSAA Champion Kincardine Knights Boys Hockey team will also be part of the parade and celebration
