A costly loss for the Barrie Colts in their final regular season OHL  game.

The Colts lost not only to the Battalion on Saturday night but maybe their top scorer for the playoffs.

Sam Carrick's shorthanded marker in the second period was the first of four unanswered goals by Brampton as they went on to win 5-2 in front of  3,529 at the Barrie Molson Centre.

Carrick had two goals in the game. Michael Porowski, Barclay Goodrow, and Brett Mackie also scored for the Battalion.

Anthony Camera and Tanner Pearson replied for the Colts.

Late in the third, Pearson got tangled in the corner and appeared to  roll his ankle.

He had to be helped off the ice.

Colts Head Coach Dale Hawerchuk wouldn't say if Pearson will miss some  time during the first-round of the playoffs but did acknowledge that the  injury didn't look good.

Brampton outshot Barrie 45-17 in the game.
