Halmo Out Indefinitely

Owen Sound | by Bayshore News Staff

Attack expect an answer by Friday on Halmo's status

For his hit on Nail Yakupov in Sarnia Saturday night Owen Sound Attack Captain Michael Halmo has been suspended indefinitely by the OHL.

Attack Media Spokesperson Brent Fisher says this usually happens when a play is reviewed by the league, so it's possible Halmo won't miss any games.

Fisher expects an answer by Friday ahead of their home and home series with the Storm.

Yakupov meanwhile will miss the remaining three games of the regular season for the Sting with facial lacerations.

He's expected to be re-evaluated next week, but according to media reports in Sarnia, Yakupov does not have concussion symptoms.

Yakupov is projected as the first overall pick in this years NHL draft.
