Minor Hockey Results

Plenty of Minor Hockey Results from our region.


The Georgian Shores Intermediate Girls Hockey Team playing out of Beaver Valley Arena qualified to go to the OWHA Provincial Championships with a 4-2 win over Normanby in Thornbury on Wednesday night. This followed another 4-2 win in the Provincial Playdown game against Shallow Lake last Friday. This is the first year for an Intermediate team in the Georgian Shores organization and what a team it
 was. The girls finished the regular season undefeated with 12 wins and 1 loss. The OWHA provincials are held in April in Brampton.


BIG WIN FOR MIDGET C GIRLSThe TCDMHA Sierra Aggregates Midget C Rebel Girls are one step closer totheir bid for a spot at the OWHA Provincial Championships in April with a2-1 victory over the Mildmay Monarchs last night. Anna Mawhinney openedthe scoring for the Monarchs half way through the first period. KristenSweiger tied the score at the 3min mark of the first. The score was stilleven until the about the 13min mark of the third when Kristina Dyer poppedin the winner with her signature wrap around shot.The Rebels host the Georgian Shores Lightening Friday night at 8:30pm inChatsworth for game 3 of their provincial play down action.

The Owen Sound Leeder & Associates major atom hockey team beat Stayner 4 to 2 in Georgian Bay playoff action at the Bayshore Community centre. Scoring for Owen Sound was Dominic Millman, Bryson Pruski and Jerrid Fossold picked up 2 goals.
