Development Talk in Wasaga

Wasaga Beach | by Catherine Thompson

Two public meetings about new homes tonight, plus debate on location of library.

It's the first Wasaga Beach council meeting of the new year.

The meeting in Council Chambers on Tuesday night will start off with two public meetings.

One is to do with a proposed plan of subdivision for a block of the Blueberry Village Townhouse development and the other is a zoning by-law amendment to allow the development of townhomes at 77 River Road East.

Council is also being asked to approve a Committee of the Whole recommendation to okay the location of a future new library on donated land in the Stonebridge Town Centre on River Road West.

The approval would be subject to an agreement with the developer acceptable to council.
