A city police officer in Barrie is facing charges after he was caught speeding and drunk on a road north of the city.
42 year old Constable Brian Byblow has been a police officer for 21 years.
He was off duty Wednesday when the car he was driving was spotted at a high rate of speed on Highway 400.
The car was pulled over on Bayfield street, and the officer was charged with dangerous driving, impaired driving, having more than the legal amount of alcohol in his blood system.
These are not the first criminal charges Byblow has faced.
He was also charged with impaired driving an assault in 2005, but the charges were eventually withdrawn.
