Average prices are up, but the number of home sales fell in October in Grey and Bruce Counties.
Stats released by the Realtors Association Grey Bruce Owen Sound (RAGBOS) show 172 homes were sold in October.
That total is down six per cent from a year ago.
The slowdown is more dramatic when you include all properties, including lots.
That total is down 17 per cent from the same time in 2010.
However, prices were solid with the average for a home in the area hitting 225 thousand dollars.
That is up seven per cent from October of 2010.
Officials at the Realtors Association say the overall supply of homes on the market remains high with over 17 hundred properties for sale.
That is up 14 per cent from last year.
