Kitchener Rangers 6 Guelph Storm 1

Tobias Rieder had a hat trick on the power play for Kitchener

The Rangers, without Ryan Murphy, went 3-for-8 with the man advantage.

In OHL action of note today, St Mike's will host Brampton with game time in Mississauga at 11 am

Plymouth & Saginaw play tonight in a West Division matchup.

Friday & Saturday, the Owen Sound Attack will be at Sudbury & then at Sault Ste Marie

The Owen Sound Attack will be short some bodies for their Northern swing

Artur Gavrus & Devon Rymarchuk are not expected to make the trip, plus a couple of others are nursing ailments from the weekend games with London.

Attack General Manager Dale DeGray states the Attack are prepared to play the weekend with a reduced roster rather than make a call-up or transaction.

Hannah Davidson & Sara Gossell combined for 5 goals for the Lady Knights

Hailey Allen, Cassidy Colhoun and Courtney Surridge also scored for Kincardine

OFSAA " A " Girls Basketball

The OFSAA " A " Girls Basketball Tournament begins tomorrow at Ridley College in St Catharines

The Walkerton District Raiders are seeded # 11 for the tournament

The Lady Raiders play in the tournament opener against # 1 Rideau tomorrow at 2 pm.

27th Annual Optimist Swim Meet

at Port Elgin

Six swimmers from the Owen Sound Aquatic Club turned in first place finishes

Jessica Larson, Justin Salerne, Nicole Lefebvre, James Boulter, Amy Lefebvre & Emily Brown all had first place performances.

All of the top finishes from the Owen Sound swimmers are posted today under " Latest Sports Stories "
