There's no snow on the ground in Goderich, but Santa Claus is coming to town.
'Heart Light, the Spirit of Goderich Shines Bright' is the theme for this year's holiday festivities.
Wanda Keith from Tourism Goderich says the theme reflects the passion that residents of this town have after the tornado in August.
While Courthouse Park is looking quite a bit different these days, Keith says the Candlelight Ceremony will still go ahead at 7 PM on Friday for the Angel Tree, the MADD tree and the Forget-Me-Not tree.
Keith says the Laketown Band will play seasonal music starting at 6:30 PM on Saturday.
She says residents are also invited at the time to help decorate the community tree with their ornaments.
Keith says the big event starts at 7:15 PM with the Santa Claus Parade beginning at the corner of West and Wellington streets.
From there it goes around the Square and down South Street, where it will disperse at Elgin avenue.
Keith says they have over 60 floats for the parade and the weather looks to hold out nicely, so it should be a great evening to celebrate Goderich and the holidays.
