No Tax Relief for Habitat

Goderich | by Rick Stow

Goderich turns down request for relief of water charge for Habitat for Humanity.

The Town of Goderich has turned thumbs down on a donation to Habitat for Humanity Huron County.

The organization had requested three thousand dollars from the Town to reduce its water connection charge for 2012 by about 50 per cent.

Habitat's "ReStore" is located at the Huron Road Mall, and is officially situated in Central Huron.

As an alternative to the ask, Goderich Councillors suggested the Habitat group approach the County for possible tax relief.
