Satellites Welcome Matei

The Owen Sound Satellites Gymnastics Club announced the hiring of  Florin Matei, from Israel as their new Head Coach and General Manager.

Matei is an Olympic Level Coach and a former member of the Romanian Junior Olympic Team

His tenure with the club is to begin in 2012

Matei will be looking to further advance the competitive Satellite athletes to higher Provincial and National competition, and to mentor the existing coaching staff at all levels to maximize their potential.

Middleton To Ontario Blue Jays

Local baseball player Tyler Middleton has accepted a full time pitching position with the Ontario Blue Jays of the Premier Baseball League of Ontario. 

Middleton joined the Development Program of the Ontario Blue Jays in October

After a successful appearance at a tournament in Memphis, Tennessee with the Ontario Blue Jays, he was offered a full time position with the organization.
