Huron East is donating eight thousand dollars to the Goderich and Area Disaster Relief Fund.
At its November 1st meeting -- Councillors asked for an accounting of the value of manpower and equipment dispatched to Goderich in the wake of the tornado August 21st.
At their November 15th meeting they were advised that services above and beyond the existing Mutual Assistance agreement totalled eight thousand dollars.
As Huron East will be compensated for this amount, members used it as a benchmark to determine the municipality's cash donation.
When the ODRAP two-for-one formula is applied, the value grows to 24 thousand dollars.
