A public meeting is being held in Collingwood on Monday, December 5th.
The meeting will consider changes to the Heritage Conservation District Plan to allow the Admiral Collingwood Place condo building to be six storeys instead of three.
And now Councillor Kevin Lloyd has put forward a notice of motion to request staff and the heritage committee to do a re-evaluation of the by-law to see if the guidelines are contemporary and to review the existing boundaries.
Lloyd says he would also like a review of the by-law every four years.
But Lloyd says this notice has nothing to do with the recent heritage discussions about Admiral Collingwood Place.
He says he's been thinking for the last couple of years that a review is necessary.
The motion will come back to council next Monday.
