OHL Announces Roster Changes for SUBWAY® Super Series
Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Sean Monahan of the Ottawa 67’s and Ryan Murphy of the Kitchener Rangers will not be competing in the 2011 SUBWAY® Super Series due to injury.
Monahan, a 17-year-old from Brampton, ON, is currently third in OHL scoring with 33 points in 18 games. The 2013 NHL Entry Draft prospect was scheduled to play tonight in Ottawa. Monahan will not be replaced for the game with Team OHL still carrying 12 forwards.
Murphy, an 18-year-old from Aurora, ON, was selected in the first round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft 12th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes. He was scheduled to play for Team OHL on Monday November 14 in Sault Ste. Marie but will be replaced by Slater Koekkoek of the Peterborough Petes.
