Easter Seals campaign is 100 thousand dollars richer thanks to the 6th annual Easter Seals dinner in Port Elgin.
Put on by Bruce Power, company President and CEO Duncan Hawthorne says when that tally is combined with the Toronto fundraiser they put on, some 637 thousand dollars is going to the campaign.
Hawthorne says when you meet the kids who benefit from the money, it doesn't take too long before the youngsters draw you into their lives.
He says it makes it easy for him to personally continue the campaign.
The President & CEO of Easter Seals, Ontario, is thrilled with the money coming in.
Carol Lloyd says really, it's critical to get the funds to help families buy the essential equipment the kids need to overcome their physical disabilities.
She says the money is also used to send kids to two summer camps in Ontario.
Lloyd says there are 52 hundred families on their caseload across Ontario right now, with another one thousand families on the waiting list.
She says 800 to 900 kids take advantage of the summer camps in Ontario as well.
