Tobermory is getting a new medical clinic.
The new six thousand square foot building will replace a facility that is now over thirty years old and beginning to show its age.
The new one million dollar building will house four doctors and nurse practitioner who form the Peninsula Family Health Team.
Rob Davis -- the Fundraising Chair for Tobermory Health Services -- says the new building is twice the size of the existing facility.
Davis says it will also house support services like a pharmacy and physiotherapist.
Davis hopes they can use the facility to attract two more doctors.
Fundraising is ongoing -- and Davis says they have raised 200 thousand of their 300 thousand dollar goal.
There are two fundraisers planned for this fall.
Davis hopes to have the full amount in place by the time the building is finished in December.
