McDonald's Restaurants are donating 32 thousand dollars to Tornado Relief in Goderich.

McDonald's proprietor Ron Reid has owned the store on Bayfield Road and Suncoast Drive for six years.

Some of his employees lost belongings to the August 21st twister.

On Tuesday -- Reid invited corporate brass, municipal officials and the media to a cheque presentation for the Goderich and Area Disaster Relief Committee.

Ontario employees, suppliers, franchise owners and the McDonalds' corporation all kicked in to bring the total donation to 32 thousand dollars.

Reid says they're going to keep at it -- as the deadline for two-for-one matching ODRAP funds is December 1st.

Reid says McDonalds is all about giving back to the community.

Tom Jasper was pleased to accept the donation on behalf of the Goderich and Area Disaster Relief Committee.
