More money is pouring in for Barrie's hospital expansion.
The project is getting an additional 13.8 million dollars to help pay for the transition to the new building.
In a statement, the hospital says the extra money will support staff recruitment, orientation to the new building and equipment commissioning.
In August, the facility got one-time funding of 4.5 million DOLLARS to open 24 some of its new beds, and add some services, including extra staff for its operating room hours.
The hospital says its new construction is 85 per cent complete, and the plan is to open the first phase in early 2012, and the rest over the next two years.
