A group that's raising money to safeguard Goderich's built and natural heritage in the wake of the August tornado is extending a hand to people who can't get to this weekend's Out of the Storm benefit concert.
Edge Fund spokesperson Mark Hussey says they're making a block of 100 tickets available for free to those in a wide range of circumstances arising from the storm.
He tells us residents outside the Red Zone where homes and businesses were either destroyed or heavily damaged are affected as well.
He points to those whose homes may be ok but who have lost their jobs because their workplaces were in the tornado's path.
So far only residents of the Red Zone have qualified for free tickets.
Hussey issues a special appeal to those who came out of the storm unscathed.
He urges us to think of those who aren't able to get to the concert.
He says of the $45 ticket price, $40 goes to the Goderich and Area Disaster Relief Fund where the province matches each dollar raised with a two dollar contribution.
Tickets are available at 104.9 the Beach, 300 Suncoast Drive East in Goderich.
