U17 Sked

The schedule has been released for the 2012 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

The event runs from December 29th to January 4th in Windsor, LaSalle and Tecumseh.

Ontario's first tournament game is Thursday December 29th against Germany

Both Zach Nastasiuk & Chris Bigras ( Bee-grah ) of the Owen Sound Attack are candidates for the Ontario entry

The Attack will be at Erie Friday * Saturday night for games against the Otters.

Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League

3 games tonight including Brantford at Kitchener in the Midwest Conference

The Owen Sound Greys host the Cambridge Winterhawks on Friday at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.


Four Nations Roster

Hockey Canada has selected their roster for the 4 Nations Cup- Women's Hockey Tournament which takes place taking place November 9th-14th in Sweden.

Forward Vicki Bendus of Wasaga Beach is among the players chosen for the Canadian entry.

Bendus played for the Mercyhurst Lakers women's ice hockey program and was awarded the 2010 Patty Kazmaier Award, awarded to the top player in women's NCAA hockey.

Lacrosse get Together

An Owen Sound Lacrosse " get together " for anyone who has been involved in the sport in any capacity has been organized for Saturday at Harvey's Billiards on 16th Street East in Owen Sound.

The event will be a come & go affair from 2-4 pm

Everyone attending is asked to bring a non perishable food item for the Thanksgiving Food Drive.
