The 1974 truck used for snow removal at the Goderich Airport is being replaced.
At its August meeting, Council invited tenders on a new unit meeting its specifications.
Four tenders were received and opened in public at the meeting of September 12th.
Airport Manager Ken Bogie reviewed the bids.
It was decided to accept the Nortrax offer to supply a John Deer unit for 166 thousand dollars.
The Town had budgeted 60 thousand towards replacing the aging 1974 model in 2011.
It will be rebated the HST in the tender, and the balance will be financed.
