While no one is yet pinning a cost to the F3 tornado, the Goderich Fire Chief's Monthly Report for August 2011 gives us a starting point.
It gives us an idea of the manpower hours involved during the immediate emergency.
The report, customary in the Town Council information package each month, notes instances of fire occurrences, call-out hours and department activities.
24 personnel were involved in a total of 1369 and a half emergency call-out hours in August.
Council received the report at its September 12th meeting, thanking the volunteers for their service.
