Tackling Goose Problem

Goderich | by Rick Stow

Staff are asking Goderich Council to use louder artillery to tackle Geese problem.

Geese apparently aren't fooled by scare pistols, so Animal Control Officer Bob Trick was back before Council looking for authorization for more heavy artillery.

Geese have been a problem on Goderich beaches for years.

Trick has tried scarecrows and other solutions which always have limited and temporary success.

Now, he's got the authorization he wanted, as Council gave him permission to use a shotgun.

No real ammunition will be involved.
