Goderich Job Well Done

Goderich | by Travis Pedwell

A barbeque will be held Saturday in Goderich to look to the community's future.

Families of Goderich will be able to celebrate a new beginning over a hot dog and hamburger this weekend.

A Job Well Done (but it ain't over yet) will be hosting a barbecue at Memorial Arena from 12 PM to 5 PM today.

Volunteer Gerard Creces tells Bayshore Broadcasting News the event is a family function for everyone to come out and enjoy some food.

Creces says there's no costs involved -- but they will be taking donations to go towards the relief fund.

Creces tells us it gives families a chance to get out and talk to other families.

He says it's a great opportunity to swap stories.

Creces notes there are numerous service boards that have donated their time to make the bbq successful.

Creces says due to the possibility of rain -- the event will be staged inside.

Creces calls the event a great time to reward everyone for all their hard work during last week's F3 Tornado.

Creces notes there will also be activities for kids.

He tells us supplies are all ready to for children to make a commemorative piece of art for the town.

Creces adds he's just wanting to do what he can for the town.
