School Board Pitches In

Goderich | by Rick Stow

The Avon Maitland Board's Schools can be used as drop-off sites for tornado relief

The Avon-Maitland School Board is using its schools as drop-off points for items donated to Goderich Tornado Relief.

The service will start when school begins on Tuesday, and will operate for the first couple of weeks of the school year.

It is in response to persons living outside the community who wish to help with relief efforts.

273 staff members of the Avon-Maitland Board live in Goderich or the immediate area.

A number of those on staff have also been significantly impacted by the F3 tornado of August 21st.
