Dog Show May Move

Owen Sound | by Jon Meyer

Last Day for Owen Sound dog show, as organizers may look for larger venue.

It's all about the dogs again today at Harrison Park in Owen Sound.

Thursday is the final day of the Grey Bruce Kennel and Obedience Club's "Five Championship Conformation Dog Shows."

President of the Club Kyle Lougheed says they were worried about attendance numbers this year without Obedience and Agility Show's.

However, Lougheed says the Conformation Show people brought extra dogs, and that's made a big difference.

He says they've had very strong attendance for the first two days with 90 different breeds of dogs registered.

As for the future of the Grey Bruce Kennel and Obedience Club show at Harrison Park, Lougheed says they are exploring other venues for next year.

He says ideally they would stay at Harrison Park but logistically it may be challenging to fit in all three; Conformation, Obedience and Agility shows.
