Hit and Run Anniversary

Grand Bend | by Peter Jackson

It has been two years since 31 year old Jason Pearson was killed at hit and run.

Huron OPP are marking a frustrating anniversary.

It's been two years since a Waterloo man lost his life in a hit-and-run near Grand Bend.

Police say 31 year-old Jason Pearson was struck by a vehicle on Grand Bend Line just north of the Motorplex on July 26th 2009.

The vehicle didn't stop.

Despite a call for help by a second motorist who arrived at the scene a short time later Pearson died of his injuries.

OPP continue to look for a dark-coloured extended-cab pick-up truck hauling a silver box trailer with dual wheels so they can talk to the driver.

They say the truck may have passed the scene at the time Pearson was hit.

If you have any information Huron OPP want you to call them or Crime Stoppers.
