A busy night at Wasaga Beach Council tonight.
Councillors will be looking at the new fire hall lease agreement, reducing speed limits, extending bus services, and increasing wages for some town employees.
As per the work put in at the Committee of the Whole, Wasaga Beach council will be confirming the motion that the town leases the land that the new fire hall, which will be located at 950 River Road West, will be built on.
Council will not be purchasing the land because they believe it will take longer and require more assessments and paperwork to get the project underway.
Council will also discuss the possibility of reducing speed limits between Ramblewood Drive and the eastern limits of Collingwood after receiving an email from the Ministry Of Transportation recommending it.
Council will also confirm a five-month trial run of bus services to the east side of Wasaga Beach and a two percent wage increase to non-union full-time workers and temporary full and part time workers.
