OLA Senior Lacrosse Semifinals

The OLA Senior Lacrosse Semifinals are tied at 1 win apiece.

The Owen Sound Quantum Properties Woodsmen tied their best of 5 with Brooklin by scoring a 13-8 win last night at Brooklin

Game 3 in the series is Friday night at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.

The other semifinal between Norwood & St Catharines is also tied 1-1 after both teams won at home this week.

Game 3 in that semifinal series is Wednesday night in Norwood



Bluewater Fastball League

Saugeen Shores Smoke at Mildmay Mets

Game time tonight is 8:30 pm

Tomorrow, the Mets will be in Wiarton to face the Red Devils

Yesterday, the Walkerton Wild defeated the Durham Dodgers 5-2.


Two significant fastball tournaments were staged over the weekend in the region.

The Jarvis Travellers won the ISC Eastern Canada Travel League Playoff Tournament at Duncan McLellan Park in Owen Sound while the Napanee Express won the Ontario Midget Championship Tournament at Bluewater Park in Wiarton.

Jarvis went 5 & 0 over the weekend to win the ISC Tournament and also earn a berth at the ISC World Championship in 2012 at Midland, Michigan.

Napanee went 4 & 0 to win the Ontario Midget title.

The Express will be one of 4 Ontario clubs, including the Wiarton Red Devils, who will compete next month at the Canadian Midget Championship in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Collingwood is second in Division One, 3 points back of first place Muskoka United

Greys Sign Four

The Owen Sound Greys signed 4 more players following their Rookie Camp over the weekend.

The Greys signed Kirkland Lake natives Jordan Turbide, Brandon Lamothe & Jordan Cale along with Owen Sound Attack Prospect Zac Coulter

The Greys Main Camp is next month.

The home & season opener for the Greys is September 9th.
